The Burj Khalifa

Currently the tallest building in the world at an impressive 828m, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE is truly a magnificient structure. This 10 week project conducted by a team of engineering students at Drexel University will provide an extensive look into the design, fabrication, and assembly of the Burj Khalifa.
At the end of the 10 weeks, the students will present their research in a PowerPoint presentation. They will also be creating a 3D CAD (computer aided drafting) design of the building, as well as a scale model. This project is designed to give engineering students at Drexel an insight into what it takes to design, build, and maintain a magnificent structure like the Burj Khalifa. Research will be conducted not only on the structure itself, but also the environmental, social, and financial climate of the surrounding area.
